Newry police investigate spate of local burglaries

Police in South Down are appealing for information following a number of burglaries in the South Down area.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Aimee Fletcher, explained, “During the early hours of Thursday, 16 October, entry was gained to a number of business premises.

“The premises were on Kilbroney Road and Church Street in Rostrevor, Ballyvally Road and Bavan Road in Mayobridge and Rathfriland Road in Hiltown.

“I would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity around these premises during this time or has information in relation to these burglaries. You can contact police on the 101 number.”
