Shots fired at South Armagh house

Three shots have been fired at a house in South Armagh.

According to local reports, three shots were fired at a house in Bearna Park, Meigh.

It is believed one of the shots hit the front door while another hit a window and a car was also damaged in the incident. Nobody is believed to be injured.

Local police urged for witnesses to come forward.

Commenting on the news local Sinn Féin MLA Megan Fearon stated, “Detaills of this incident are still unclear, however it is important to repeat the message that there is no place for guns on our streets.

She added, “The community does not want this and the people behind these type of criminal actions need to stop them.”
