Five members of staff from Newry-based Murdock Builder’s Merchants have been recognised for their 20 years of service to the company. Paul Sheppard, Enda McConville, Bernie Ruane, Thomas McKeown and Iain Hutchinson were each presented with gift vouchers to mark the anniversary at a celebratory event in the Whistledown Hotel, Warrenpoint. Chief Executive of Murdock’s, Ann Morgan said, “We are delighted to recognise and highlight the fantastic efforts of our long-serving colleagues. “Our recent celebratory event was the perfect way to say ‘thank-you’ to these colleagues for their loyal service to our business and customers. “It is thanks to our staff that we have been able to continue delivering first class service to the building trade and the general public. Well done to all involved,” she added. Murdock’s has a strong track record for staff development and retention. In total 27 members of staff have been recognised for their long service to the business which has ten local branches and has been trading for over 30 years.
