Community, What's On
Newry & Armagh MLA Cathal Boylan has described an event to be held in the Armagh City Hotel on Wednesday 24th September as an excellent opportunity for local groups to keep afresh of funding opportunities which might assist them in the delivery of their programmes.

Sinn Fein MLA Cathal Boylan

The local MLA told Newry Times, “The importance of the work being undertaken by groups in the community and voluntary sectors cannot be overstated. “Those groups form an essential part of the very fabric of our communities. Unfortunately this is an area that has seen systemic under-investment by the current British government and it has become increasingly difficult for groups to get the small but often vital financial support and assistance they require to operate. “The Funding Fair is a welcome opportunity for those involved in the sector to obtain useful guidance and signposting on the various funding sources available. He added, “Any groups or individuals interested in attending the event should book a free place by contacting ABC Community Networking on 028 3839 2777.”
