Spate of Bessbrook thefts prompts police investigation

Local police are investigating a series of thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles in the Bessbrook area, which occurred between 10pm on Friday 7 March 2014 and 9am on Saturday 8th March 2014.

It is believed that an attempt to steal a car was reported at the College Square West area, while attempts to steal vehicles were reported to police at the Mount Charles North and Lakeview areas.

At this stage, police are investigating a link between all threee incidents and enquiries are continuing.

Police would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or who have any information to contact Police at Newtownhamilton Police Station on 0845 600 8000 quoting ref: 601080314, 621080314 and 916030814.
