Cannabis factory uncovered by Newry police

Officers from the local Tactical Crime Unit and CID, as part of Operation Torus, have arrested a 34 year old man following the discovery of a cannabis factory. Police recovered 72 cannabis plants during the search of a house in the Seaview Heights area of Newry on Tuesday, 4th March. The 34 year old was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and possession of Class B drugs. He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
