Zara McKibben from Appletree Dental Care learnt of her victory at the 2014 Irish Dentistry Awards ceremony, held at the beautiful Mansion House in Dublin last week. Zara told Newry Times, “It’s a great honour to be awarded the title of ‘Best Dental Care Professional’ – I still can’t believe I’ve won! “I first joined Appletree as a dental nurse, and it’s taken a lot of hard work and commitment to get to where I am today; not to mention the fantastic support I’ve had from the rest of the team – I couldn’t have done it without them.” Principal dentist Katrina McKevitt commented, “We’re so proud of Zara for earning this well-deserved and respected title. Her endeavours during her time at Appletree have helped the practice to excel, and we’re delighted that she has received the recognition she is due. Katrina added, “Zara’s passion for providing our patients with the best possible care and her dedication to their wellbeing is an inspiration to us all.” The Irish Dentistry Awards recognises exceptional individuals, teams and practices who strive to provide dental care at its very best, and are judged by an expert panel of experienced dental professionals and editors from dental publications. To celebrate Zara’s win, Appletree Dental Care are offering new and existing patients a £25 discount on their next hygienist session. To find out more, give the team a call on 02830 252 228 or visit
