Stolen car ploughs into fence in Newry incident

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Flagstaff Court.

Around 10pm on Thursday, 6th February, a blue Renault Megane Coupe collided with a fence at the back of a house before the occupants of the car made off.

Police were able to confirm that the car had been stolen in the Republic of Ireland.

It is believed that the car may have been used in the Old Warrenpoint Road area during the previous week and police are appealing to anyone who has information about the whereabouts of the car prior to the accident and anyone who has information in relation to the collision to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000.
