Get Ready for the Giro

The Giro d’Itallia Road Race begins in Northern Ireland on 9th May and in preparation for its arrival in Newry the Northern Ireland Tourist Board are organising a Roadshow to inform businesses, tourism providers and community groups how to become involved. On Day 3 the Giro d’Italia will be cycling through the Newry and Mourne District Council area and will be passing through the villages of Newtownhamilton, Belleeks, Lislea and Forkhill. The Roadshow will be held on Monday 10th February at 9:30 a.m. in Bagenal’s Castle, Newry. By attending you will gain an insight into the Giro d’Italia and its impact locally and you will receive a toolkit packed with information and ideas to help you maximise your involvement. You will also find out what is happening in your area and meet others who want to make the Giro work for their business as well as understanding what is happening locally in terms of road closures, community and volunteer involvement.
