Newry police investigate Dominic Street car theft

Police in Newry are investigating the theft of a car from the Dominic Street area on Saturday 4th January.

The black Mercedes C-Class car is believed to have stolen sometime between midday and 5.15pm.

At around 5.25pm police received a report of a car on fire at Ballintemple View Point on the Aghmakane Road near Camlough.

The car was completely destroyed but is believed to be the stolen Mercedes.

Police would ask anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in either the Dominic Street area of Newry or in the Aghmakane Road area in Camlough to contact them in Ardmore, Newry on 0845 600 8000.
