Councillor urges vigilance following Newry attempted robberies

Newry Town Sinn Féin Councillor Valerie Harte has urged residents to be vigilant following a number of attempted break-ins of both homes and cars in the Windmill Road area.

Speaking to Newry Times, Harte said she received reports that a number of vehicles and homes in the Windmill Road area were tampered with over the past few days.

“I am asking people to keep their eyes open and remain vigilant for any suspicious activity.

She added, “Anyone who notices anything untoward should report the matter to the police.”
