Excitement builds for Newry Santa Charity Fun Run

The organisers of the annual Santa Fun Run in Newry are looking your help in making this the biggest and best Santa Fun Run to date, raising much needed funds for four local and very deserving charities; Newry Gateway Club, PIPS Newry & Mourne, Headway Newry and Southern Area Hospice.

The Santa Fun Run is being organised in conjunction with the ‘turning on’ of the Christmas Lights in Newry, on Friday 22nd November 2013, hosted by Newry & Mourne District Council.

The hope is to get over 150 Santa’s to run down Hill Street. Each Santa will represent a local business, club, school or designated charity. Each Santa will wear their organisation’s logo or message.

This is not a race; it is a fun run, with the emphasis on ‘FUN’. Santa’s can walk, crawl or dander over the short course.

Every organisation who enters a Santa into the Fun Run will be entered into a free draw to win one of three £100 vouchers.

Can you nominate a Santa from your organisation? It costs £100 to enter a Santa into the fun run. This £100 contribution can be raised through individual sponsorship (sponsor cards available upon request). 100% of the funds raised through this event will go to the local charities.

To be part of the madness and enjoy the craic, please contact the Santa Charity Fun Run Committee, Tel: 028 3025 4560 or email info@newrychamber.com
