Newry hit and run sparks police investigation

Police in Newry are appealing for assistance following the report of a hit and run incident in the Cornmarket area on Thursday 24th October. It was reported that at around 7.15pm as a man stood beside his car placing his child into the rear seat the door of his car was struck by a passing silver Renault Megane. The door struck the man causing minor injuries. Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them in Ardmore on 0845 600 8000. Police would also ask a woman who gave assistance to the injured man at the scene to contact them.
