Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Newry Street, Kilkeel on Sunday 6th October 2013. It was reported that at approximately 1.20am a silver coloured Toyota Avensis collided with a male pedestrian. The car did not stop following the collision. The 58 year old man has suffered a suspected broken hip. Police are appealing to the driver of the Toyota Avensis or anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them at Newry on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
