Police investigate Newry car theft

Police in South Armagh are investigating a theft from a vehicle and criminal damage to a second vehicle which were parked at a golf club in the Forkhill Road area on Thursday 19th September.

The incident took place shortly before 6pm when a grey Mazda had a window smashed and a laptop taken from within.

A blue Peugeot then had a door lock punched and the car was entered but nothing was reported to have been taken.

It is believed a man wearing a blue hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms who had been travelling in a silver coloured car with southern registration plates was in the area at the time.

Police would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact them in Newtownhamilton on 0845 600 8000.

Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111
