To celebrate Translink’s announcement of more frequent services on the Goldline 238 Newry service, which will run every 15 minutes at peak times, passengers can step aboard one of the modern quality coaches and enjoy a free family fun day on Saturday 21st September from 11.00am – 3.00pm.

Greg McLaughlin, Translink Service Delivery Manager, Newry said, “We want to encourage people from the local community to visit the new Goldline coach which will parked up at the Bridge Street Car park, enjoy a fun filled afternoon and experience all that Goldline has to offer.

“Passengers will be in with a chance of getting their hands on a 50% off voucher for use on selected Goldline routes before 9.30am.

“Our Translink staff will also be on board the Goldline coach to help passengers make the most of our recent customer information developments such as the new Journey Planner app which helps people obtain useful departure information at the touch of a button.

Greg added, “There are many other great activities planned including competitions to win a Kindle Fire and iLink day travel tickets; face painting; free Translink goodie bags and product sampling from McVite’s, Dale Farm and Tayto. Don’t miss out a great day on-board the Goldline coach at Bridge Street that all the family can enjoy.”
