100 year old wedding ring among stolen items in Newry burglary

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a burglary in Greenan Road.

At 1.48pm on Tuesday, 10th September, it was reported that a house had been broken into.

A quantity of jewellery was taken including very distinctive Tiffany’s items and a gold band wedding ring, over 100 years old. A man was observed in the area a short time before the burglary, knocking at doors and enquiring as to where Forest Hills is.

He then walked off towards Warren Hill. The man is described as being 5ft 6in tall with short, ginger hair. He met up with another, taller man who had bags with him.

Police are appealing to the male or anyone with information in relation to the burglary to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000.
