Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information following an arson attack at a property in the Duke Street area on Thursday 8th August. Sometime between 1.45am and 2.05am the door to a flat at the rear of a charity shop was forced open and a fire started within. The flat was unoccupied at the time and fire service personnel attended the scene and extinguished the fire. Police would ask anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact police in Warrenpoint on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111
