Armagh Road Sinn Féin Councillor Charlie Casey has commended all those involved with the redevelopment of the Linenhall Arch which was officially opened recently.

“The Linenhall Arch has long been a feature of this area and is a reflection of the beauty of Newry’s built heritage,” Casey explained.

“I am delighted that the Department of Social Development and the Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership came together to complete this work which will be a showpiece of this community.

“I know the Greater Linenhall Community Association were heavily involved in this and I am remembering in particular my brother Oliver today who would have been delighted that his vision has come to fruition,” he added.
