Man (34), injured after Barcroft Hill assault

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault during the early hours of Sunday morning, 28th April.

Some time between 2am and 2.30am a 34 year old man was assaulted by another man at the bottom of Barcroft Hill. The man was wearing a red hoodie and punched the injured party before running off.

The victim then made his way up steps, leading from Kiln Street to Barcroft Hill, and was set upon by a group of young males. He sustained injuries to his face and wrist.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed these assaults or has information in relation to them to contact them at Ardmore Station on 0845 600 8000.
