Police reissue appeal for information into cyclist death

Police in Newry have reissued their appeal for information following a fatal road traffic collision on the Old Warrenpoint Road, Newry, on the morning of Wednesday 6th March.

27 year old man Jaroslaw Lewandowski from the Newry area, died as a result of the collision.

The collision between a white Citroen van and trailer and a bicycle, occurred at approximately 11.30am.

Police are keen to speak to a man who directed traffic on the Newry side of the collision directly after it occurred.

They are asking him or anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them at Ardmore Police Station in Newry or the Collision Investigation Unit in Steeple, Antrim on 0845 600 8000.
