Police investigate litany of thefts in Newry

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following a number of burglaries in the area between Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th March.

Sometime on Saturday 9th March two houses in the Spelga Park and Mourne View areas of Newry were broken into, ransacked and had property taken.

On the evening of Sunday 10th police received reports of two houses in the St Bronagh’s Cottages and Pinewood areas of Rostrevor having also been broken into, ransacked and with property stolen. Detectives are investigating a link between the burglaries.

Police would ask anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity at any of these locations on Saturday 9th or Sunday 10th March or who has any information to contact them in CID at Ardmore on 0845 600 8000.
