Councillor Sean Doran has commended the Roads Service on their recent decision to repair a damaged drain in the Mourne area. Doran stated, “I welcome the decision by the Road Service to replace a blocked culvert on the Tullyframe Road. This blockage has caused major flooding and made the road impassable in recent times. “Additional works on a different section of the Tullyframe Road are also being carried out. I have been lobbying for these improvements since I have been elected. “The road will be closed from the junction of the Newry Road to the junction of Aughtrim Road from 8am on Monday the 3rd of March until 8pm Wednesday the 6th of March. He added, “This will be somewhat of an inconvenience to motorists but I am sure they will appreciate that this is work that needs to be done to improve the road.”
