Four cars damaged in city centre incidents

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a number of incidents of criminal damage in the Cornmarket area.

Around 1am on Sunday, 10th February, a number of youths were seen kicking cars from Francis Street to Monaghan Street. Four cars were damaged including a Nissan Almera, a Peugeot 107 and two Toyota Avensis.

A 21 year old male was arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the damage being caused or has information in relation to these incidents to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000.
