Man injured in late night Newry assault

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in licensed premises on Trevor Hill.

The incident happened in the Trevor Hill area of Newry

At around 10.30pm on Saturday, 29th December, a 41 year old male was assaulted by two males in the toilets of the premises. The man was kicked and punched and received medical treatment for his injuries. Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this attack to contact them. They are particularly keen to speak to a male who intervened and ejected one of the assailants from the premises. Police can be contacted in Ardmore on 0845 600 8000.
