Whitecross car attack sparks police investigation

Police in Newtownhamilton are appealing for information following an incident on Tullyagh Road, Whitecross on Sunday, 6th January.

Between 5.40pm and 6pm, bricks and stones were thrown at a white Mitsubishi pick up truck close to the GAA Club on Tullyagh Road. Two males were inside the truck at the time and one sustained cuts to his face.

Windows of the vehicle were also damaged during the incident.

The assailants are believed to have left the area in a number of vehicles, travelling along the Tullyagh Road.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
