Police probe Rathfriland Road fire

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a fire on the Rathfriland Road on Sunday evening, 2nd December.

Around 5pm a fire was discovered close to a barn after a pile of mattresses had been set alight.

A male was seen making off from the area, down a laneway in the direction of Rathfriland Road. He was wearing a blue jumper, jeans and a grey beanie hat.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
