Annual Awards Night success at St. Bronagh’s

St Bronagh’s GAA was the place to be for the 2012 Annual Club Awards on Saturday night. The club rooms were packed with the past, present and future of Rostrevor’s GAA talent. This also included the guests of honour, special guests, ladies and men’s teams and team mentors.

The awards night kicked off of with an excellent slide show that showed some great photos of club members in full flight.

These included the heroic actions and achievements on the pitch to the equally brave performances on the dance floor which was a visual reminder of the successful strictly come dancing that took place earlier this year.

The MC for the evening was Turlagh Murphy. This was Turlagh’s first MC role for the club and it was executed in some style. Val  (who stepped down from the role last year) would be very happy with the new man at the helm.

You could clearly see as the night progressed that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree as Turlagh took charge from beginning to end. A special mention of thanks must go to Barney McAleenan for his superb speech and thoughtful advice on the future of GAA in the community.

Many people were congratulated and thanked for their support, time and commitment they have shown to the club over the year and the following are the worthy winners of this year’s prestigious awards.
