SDLP Councillor Connaire McGreevy has welcomed the new interpretive board at the entrance to the ‘Fairy Glen’ in Rostrevor.

The Rostrevor representative said:

“I called for this interpretive board to be installed as I had a number of visitors and locals ask me why the Council was not promoting the ‘Fairy Glen’ and the history of it.

“The board contains the history of the area and the name.

He added, “It may only be a small gesture in light of the bigger tourist promotion projects, but I believe the small things matter and our tourists want to read about our area when they visit.
