The Olden Days and Olden Ways group held their annual Open Day on Saturday 15th September raising a total of £4,400 and they would like to thank all of those who contributed to making the event such a success.

A special thanks to the men from Lower Mourne who did the threshing, the exhibitors of vintage vehicles and machinery, those who did the bread making, car-boot sale and DJ Francie C for providing music on the day.

The group would also like to thank the ladies from the Southern Area Hospice Mourne Support Group who did a sterling job as always by providing tea and refreshments which were greatly appreciated.

The winners of the raffle draw were:

1st £50 cash – Kathy Kane, 2nd £30 cash – Erin White, 3rd Wine Duo – Patsy Sloan, 4th 2 x Paintings – Lorraine Magill, 5th Tea Set in Basket – Tony Locke, 6th Cuddly Dog – Wilma Mitchell, 7th Biscuits – Linda Speers, 8th Box of Chocolates – Stephanie Sloan, 9th 3 x small paintings – Elaine McGreevy.

The handmade miniature wheelbarrow donated by John and Nora Newell went to the highest bidder Fergal Maginn.
