Windmill Stars will meet Orchard City in the final of the Bessbrook Cup after both teams secured semi-final wins at Derrylecky on Saturday.

Orchard City’s game with Ballybot United was a stalemate until the 85th minute when Orchard striker Darren Hillen rose highest and steered a header past ‘Bot keeper Ronan O’Reilly to send them into their first final at the first attempt.

Kevin O’Rourke almost sent the game into extra time when in the final minute he broke through on goal to threaten ‘keeper Joe Price but narrowly shot wide.

Windmill Stars cruised into the final as strikes from Gareth White and Josh McKeown sent them on their way to a 5-1 victory over Newry Celtic.

Orchard and Windmill will now meet in the final on Boxing day.
