Community, Sport, What's On
The Bosco Drama Group is a community youth drama group based in Newry which provide a creative outlet for young people to encourage them to become involved in musical theatre. They are hosting a 10k race and 5k fun run/walk on the 7th of October in Greenbank Industrial estate. All proceeds will be in aid of the upcoming production of Footloose. Registration for each event starts at 9:45am at the Shamrocks Sports Centre. The 5k fun run/walk is £5 entry and will kick off at 11am. It will start outside the Shamrocks, continue to the Fun House, then do three loops of the estate and finish back outside the Shamrocks. The 10k race is £10 entry and starts at 12pm. The race will start outside the Shamrocks, continue to the bottom of Greenbank, back up to the Fun House, in around the loop and back to the Shamrocks. This route will be repeated three times. Both events are for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy. Whether it is your first race or fun run or you have done charity runs before, come along and get involved for this very worthwhile cause. Alternatively, if you have any queries about the events, you can contact Paddy Heaney on 07801267178.
