Police probe Newry attempted car theft

Police in Newry are appealing for information following the attempted theft of a car from Ashgrove Park.

Around 10.55pm on Monday, 3rd September, three male youths were observed acting suspiciously around a blue Nissan Micra car. One of the males then forced entry to the car and tampered with the ignition before making off. One of the males was wearing a red hoody.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000. If you prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
