PSNI call for witnesses to Ballyholland burglary

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a house in the Ballyholland Park area on Sunday 2nd September.

Sometime between 4:30 and 5pm the owner of the house arrived home to find a dark coloured Audi car bearing southern registration plates parked in front of his house with a man in the driver’s seat.

On entering his house the man was confronted by two males who pushed past him to make their way outside to the car. The house had been ransacked and various items taken.

The householder was not injured but was left badly shaken. The first male was described as being approx 5’9″ tall, of stocky build wearing a blue hooded top and the second approx 5’7″ tall, of stocky build, wearing a green t-shirt.

Anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area or who has any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Ardmore on 0845 600 8000.
