Police are appealing for information following an incident in the St Oliver Plunkett Park area of Camlough on the evening of Friday 27th July.

At approximately 7.30pm, a 9 year old boy was knocked off his bike by a car. The car is believed to be dark green in colour and could possible be a Toyota Avensis or something similar.

The occupants of the car stopped, got out and spoke to the child. They then got back in the car and drove off. The boy received bruising to his thigh and cuts to his hands.

Police would be keen for the occupants of the car to come forward and speak to them. The occupants, or anyone who witnessed the incident, is asked to contact Newtownhamilton Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
