Slieve Gullion Sinn Féin councillor Anthony Flynn has welcomed planned sewer improvements along the Church Road, Mullaghbane. Speaking to Newry Times, Councillor Flynn said, “I have received notification from NI Water that a new sewer will be laid along the Church Road in early August, this work will last for approximately 8 months. “The scheme will improve wastewater services in the locality and at a cost of £800,000 this represents a significant investment in local wastewater infrastructure.” He added, “There may be some traffic restrictions in place for the duration of the scheme but I am sure local people will work with the contractors until the scheme is complete.”
