Community, What's On

This year sees the second annual Crossmaglen 10K Challenge on Sunday July 29th at 1pm, a very exciting event which attracts everyone from elite runners to casual walkers.

The event is organised by Crossmaglen GFC and last year attracted close to 300 runners. This year the organisers are hoping to build on that and have around 400 competitors, with some already registered from as far away as the USA. The race is fully chip timed, sponsored by Martin Hardware Crossmaglen and backed by Newry and Mourne Council.

Registration evening in Crossmaglen Rangers hall takes place tonight (Thursday 5th July) from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Please come along and register. This week is the last chance to register at the bargain price of £12. This also applies to online entry on www.runireland.com as from Friday on the cost will be £15.

Excellent goodie bags are on offer; including a clima cool T-Shirt and this year there is a really special and unique medal for all participants. The event is suitable for anyone from elite athletes, leisurely joggers to walkers.

Registration also available in-store in Martin Hardware, Crossmaglen.
