MP commends local youth on Palestine trip

Conor Murphy has commended four local young people who are leaving Irish shores for Palestine at the end of June to teach English to children in schools near the West Bank.

Mr Murphy met three of the four students Killian Feehan, Tarlach Tinnelly, Colleen Magee and Mickey Lewis along with his party colleagues Michelle Gildernew, Martin McGuinness, Gerry Adams, Pat Doherty and Paul Maskey in the Assembly where they had gone to raise the profile of their cause.

“This is a wonderful trip for these talented young people to be embarking on and I’m sure they will learn a lot about the world from their expedition,” the Newry Armagh MP commented, “Furthermore, these young people are helping others which makes this trip very worthwhile indeed.”
