Dromintee Sinn Féin councillor Packie McDonald has welcomed the recovery of a digger which was recently stolen from a farm in the Dromintee area. Councillor McDonald said, “Farm yard thefts are on the increase across all rural areas and while I am glad that this vehicle has been recovered I am sorry to learn that it is not in the same good state as it had been prior to it being stolen. This will of course lead to inconvenience and increased costs for the farmer in question who has already been through the initial ordeal of the theft.” McDonald added, “Once again I am calling for people to make their property, land and possessions as secure as possible and to remain vigilant for any suspicious activity in the area.”
