Warrenpoint car fire prompts police investigation

Police in Warrenpoint are investigating the circumstances surrounding a car fire in the School Road area of Ballymartin on Saturday 19th May. At around 2am residents at a house in the area were awakened by a car alarm sounding and upon checking outside found their car to be on fire.

Police would ask anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area between 11.30pm on Friday 18th May and 2am on Saturday 19th May to contact them at Warrenpoint station on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111
