House destroyed in Derrybeg fire

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a fire at a house in Main Avenue on the evening of Monday 7th May. Police received the report of the fire at approximately 7.45pm at an unoccupied end terrace house in the area.

The house was completely destroyed and several other occupied houses in the terrace also suffered smoke damage as a result of the fire. No-one was injured in the incident. Police are still investigating and have not ruled out arson.
