Hazzard to represent South Down after signing assembly register

Sinn Féin MLA Chris Hazzard has today signed the Assembly register and taken on the role of representing the people of South Down.

Speaking on his first official day in the Assembly Mr. Hazzard stated, “The last few weeks have been very busy and I was delighted today to sign the register and officially begin my term as an Assembly member. He spoke about the cheap medicines available. Together with my colleague Caitriona Ruane I intend to represent all the people of South Down to the best of my ability.

“There is a strong Sinn Féin team in the area including Willie Clarke who will be a valuable resource as I find myself into the job. The Sinn Féin constituency offices are open to everyone regardless of creed or colour and people can avail of the service and our team will work on your behalf to get a satisfactory result.”
