Local MLAs learn responsibilities following Nesbitt reshuffle
New Ulster Unionist Party leader Mike Nesbitt has this week announced a reshuffle of his assembly team, outlining the roles for local MLAs Danny Kennedy and John McCallister.
Kennedy will continued in his role as regional development minister, with McCallister continuing as deputy leader of the party’s Assembly group, as well as continuing his role as spokesman on health.
Nesbitt also outlined plans on how to promote the benefits of remaining in the United Kingdom, promote the Union and look at the next phase for the devolved administration.
Other changes outlined for the party include:
Basil McCrea – chair of the Department of Employment and Learning committee.
Mike Nesbitt – chair of the OFM/DFM committee.
Danny Kinahan – vice-chair of the education committee.
Robin Swann – chief whip.
