Charlie Casey, Newry’s Mayor, attended an event in Newry on March 22, run by Equality Commission and Labour Relations Agency staff to brief local business support organisations about services to help small and medium sized businesses with key challenges like recruitment, maternity, flexible working and redundancy.

The picture shows, from left, Jim Glacken, Equality Commission, Orla Jackson, Newry Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Casey and Patricia McQuillan, Labour Relations Agency.

There is more information about the Equality Commission’s services for small businesses on its website www.equalityni.org/supportforsmallerbusinesses

As well as on-line support, the Commission provides a free and confidential one-to-one telephone advisory service for employers and free training on a wide range of issues, just ring 028 90 890 890.
