The parents of murdered homeless man, Marek Mateusz Muszynski, have said that they forgive his killers. The Polish man was murdered in Newry three years ago, his killer Lindsay White was sentenced to 14 years in prison last week. Mr Muszynski arrived in Newry in 2007 with the idea of getting a job. Having failed to find work, he battled alcoholism and homelessness on Newry’s streets. Speaking to the Sunday Life, Janusz and Mary Muszynski said, “We forgive the perpetrators. Not everyone can understand this, but it is our will. We could not live with hatred and revenge. It would kill us.” CCTV footage was released last week showing White and her accomplice Adrian Cunningham, who recieved 11 years, walking casually to a chinese and off license just 15 minutes after the attack, before heading back to Ms White’s flat.
