Newry and Mourne Museum lecture series continues with talk on St Patrick

Newry and Mourne Museum’s lecture series is set to finish tomorrow night with a special examination of Ireland’s patron saint – St Patrick. The event starts at 8pm tomorrow night at Bagenal’s Castle with Professor Marie-Therese Flanagan speaking about “Jocelin of Furness’s Life of St. Patrick”. The talk will ask why Anglo-Norman Cistercian monk, Jocelin of Furness decided to write about the life of St Patrick and it reflected contemporary political events. The event has an admission fee of £3 per person. Light refresments will be surved as well.
