Newry Jobs and Benefits Office Sports Association have donated a fantastic total of £1100 to local breast cancer charity Pretty ‘n’ Pink. Pretty ‘n’ Pink was nominated as the 2011 charity of the Newry branch by staff who fundraised tirelessly throughout the year by organising events such as coffee mornings, book sales, pink days at the office and by staff participation in the Newry Half Marathon.

The money will be used by the charity to provide practical help and support to breast cancer patients and their families across the province. A spokesperson for the charity said “we are delighted to have received such a fantastic amount of money, and for the continuous support that we receive from the people of this area. We would like to thank all staff from Newry Jobs and Benefits Office for fundraising for us throughout the year.” Further details on the charity can be found at www.prettynpink.org.
