Police warn of Kilkeel and Newry traffic disruption for St Patrick’s Day

Police are warning of traffic disruption in Kilkeel and Newry during St Patrick’s Day celebrations. Traffic will be diverted away from Kilkeel town centre between 9am and 11.30am and 6.30pm and 8pm on St Patrick’s Day.
In Newry, traffic will be diverted away from the Fathom Line between 10.30am and 2.30pm and away from Kildare Street between 8am and 6pm. Motorists should also expect disruption in the areas of Buttercrane/Merchants Quay, William Street, Water Street, Sugar Island, Trevor Hill, Monaghan Street and Sandys Street between 11.15am and 3pm.
Motorists travelling in these areas should expect delays and should avoid Newry and Kilkeel centres if possible.
