Ambrose Rogers will return to the Down team tomorrow for an important Allianz National Football League encounter with the Kerry men in Pairc Esler, Newry.

The influential midfielder missed Down’s defeat to Cork on the 12th of February and has yet to get back into full swing for the intercounty side since his injury in 2010.

Speaking about the importance of Rogers, Down boss James McCartain said, “He’s in a different place to where he was three weeks ago. He will feature. He’s showing a lot more mobility and I feel much more confident about giving him some game time.”

Down also welcome back Conor Garvey, Brendan McArdle and Kevin McKernan for the clash with the Kingdom. Be sure to check out Newry Times tomorrow for the full report on Down vs Kerry.
