Longstone GAC, club news and events – 26th February

All club camogie teams train indoors on Monday night as follows: U10 & U-12 6-7pm/ U-14, U-16 & Minor 7-8pm/ Junior 8-9pm.

U-16 football training starts on Thursday on the Valley Rd. pitch from 7.30-8.45pm.

U-14 practice continues on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm sharp indoors at Longstone. All players over 10 and under 14 are welcome. Players are asked to bring their own water bottle and to be ready to start at 7pm.

U-12 Training for the year continues on Wednesday evenings in Longstone Hall 5.45 – 7pm.

U-10 football practice this Saturday at 2pm in the Ambrose Rogers Sports Hall at Longstone.

U-8 football practice this Saturday morning indoors at Longstone, 11am-12pm. All U-8 boys and girls welcome.

Youth Club: This Friday night there will be a Table Quiz for the Primary Children with prizes for first and second. Youth club times are Primary, 7-8.30pm and Secondary, 8.30-10pm. Supervision rota for Primary: Roisin Rogers, Eithne Fitzpatrick, Claire Corrigan, Annemarie Martin, Chris Burden, Geoffrey McDowell and Kieran Rogers. Primary supervision starts at 6.45pm. Secondary rota: Ann Rogers, Michael Haughian and Raphael Haughian.

Would all players of all ages pay their membership as soon as possible. And all membership for juveniles and adults is now due-please contact Dympna Rooney.

Well done to Mark Poland, who started at centre-forward for Ulster and scored his second goal of the series, in their interprovincial final win against Munster on Sunday in Armagh.

Well done to Gerald Rooney and Conor Kelly, who recently passed their referees fitness and rules tests, to qualify as new referees within the county for both football and hurling.

Committee meeting next Tuesday night at 8.30pm.

Numbers 7, 16, 18, 25. Four matched three. Jackpot £5400 this Sunday night.
